Advice - Is air conditioning a good way to heat a building?
Heat pump units provide an efficient form of heating, with high COPs (co-efficient of performance). These can be as high as 4.7 in heating mode, so for every one unit of electricity used 4.7 units of heat are given out.In comparison storage heaters and electric convection heaters will have a COP of ≤ 1.0 so will use up to 4 times the amount of electricity.
