Case Study - Domestic Multi-splits
Mr & Mrs S. were having a new house built and were looking to get air conditioning installed in all four bedrooms.
Initially they were looking at ducted cooling only units mounted in the loft. However, from our site visit and discussion with the customer we suggested that the bedroom radiators were removed and Daikin floor mounted units were installed in their place to give direct cooling and heating in the rooms.
Two inverter heat pump multi-split condensing units were used (two indoor units to each outdoor unit), one on each side of the house.
The floor mounted indoor units took up no more space than conventional radiators, whilst giving cooling as well as heating. No storage space in the loft was lost.
Importantly the noise levels of the Daikin floor mounted units were very low, probably less than the conventional radiators would have made with water circulation noise.
